Several (maybe 2) versions of Amarok have been released since I wrote about the patch that fixes FLAC playback. This got me thinking that I should mention that it is always a good idea to check the date on information you find online. I get a lot of my linux support from blog posts and have found it necessary to make sure i’m getting current information. The older the post is, it gets more and more likely that bugs have already been fixed (and yours is unrelated to what they are talking about), or their hardware is older than yours, and so on.

FLAC still works for me in Amarok.
