Remember to turn on your Agloco toolbar today!

August 1st, 2007 · No Comments

It’s the first of the month which means you should turn on your Agloco toolbar for the rest of the day. It usually doesn’t take me more than half a day on the first of the month to max out my five hours. I’d barely call that work.

Alternate URL

July 19th, 2007 · No Comments

I recently signed up with Alternate URL and am very happy with it so far. Here’s how it works. When you set up a Google Adsense advertisement to display on your website or blog there is a question near the end that asks you weather you would like to display a public service ad (PSA) [...]

Recent Finds and Internet Gems

July 17th, 2007 · No Comments

I’ve made a few finds online recently that I think are really great:

Yelp
I feel like I’m a little late to the party on this one but at least in Chicago it seems like it is just catching on. I recently moved into the city, and not only that I moved into a section I knew [...]

AGLOCO Update

July 6th, 2007 · No Comments

It seems like every company on the Internet makes a couple people absurdly rich, while all the users who help build the company and make it valuable get nothing.
Well AGLOCO is trying to shake that up a bit. I wrote about it a few weeks ago here, and today is some clarification and updates on [...]

Try out AGLOCO

June 21st, 2007 · No Comments

There is a new button on the sidebar that links to AGLOCO. I’m trying it out and will post updates about the experiment’s success or failure. AGLOCO is a company that makes it’s money through selling advertisers, search companies, and online merchants access to its community of members. Sounds like a bad thing and it [...]

Must Have Wordpress Plug-ins

June 7th, 2007 · No Comments

There are pros and cons to hosting a blog yourself or letting WordPress do it. One of the benefits of a blog.wordpress.com account is they take care of updates and cool plug-ins for you…seamlessly. When I made the decision to host on my own there were a few of these plug-ins that I just couldn’t [...]

torrent tip

The other day i illegally downloaded a rare foreign movie from a torrent and found that the english subtitles were not included in the torrent. After a quick web search I found Open Subtitles where i downloaded the appropriate subtitles for the feature I had downloaded. All I needed to do was put the file [...]

meebo languages

January 15th, 2007 · No Comments

Meebo has pretty much replaced any client instant messaging I do. They are a fun company with a great product and I recommend it to everybody (as I may have said here before). I found today that one of the many languages the site is translated into is 1337; it’s a hoot so check it [...]

Opera 9

October 24th, 2006 · 3 Comments

My websurfing experience had not been great on the Edgy PPC machine. Firefox 2.0 was crashing, and konqueror was slow and not getting the support it should on sites. After hearing so many great things about Opera 9, I thought I would give it a try and I’m glad I did.

Gmail in Konqueror

October 15th, 2006 · 1 Comment

I like gmail and I like Konqueror but the latter is not “supported” by the former. And let’s face it, the plain html version of gmail is worthless. To get the full functioning gmail in an unsupported browser like Konqueror, use this url:
http://mail.google.com/mail/?nocheckbrowser
yeah, it’s buggy, but it’s fun to play with.
Also try out gmail in [...]
